1. What wax do you use?
All our candles and wax melts are made from 100% Soy Wax. Soy wax is highly sustainable, renewable and biodegradable. Soy wax is a hydrogenated version of soybean oil that is entirely natural and burns so much cleaner compared to other waxes on the market. Soy wax releases far less soot which is better for the environment and our overall health.
2. Are your products Vegan Friendly?
Yes, all our candles and wax melts are made using 100% Soy wax which is 100% plant based and does not contain any animal byproducts. It is natural, biodegradable and burns cleaner making our products cruelty free and eco-friendly.
3.How do I prevent tunnelling on my candle?
Tunnelling is a term used to describe a tunnel through the centre of your candle. This usually occurs when you don’t allow your candle to burn long enough to reach a full melt pool (fully melted surface). To prevent this, once lighting, allow your candle to achieve an even melt across it entire surface, keeping away from draughts. We cannot emphasize how important that first burn is. Allow your candle to burn for at least 1 to 2 hours depending on the size of your candle. A good rule is to burn your candle for 1 hour for every per every inch of its diameter!
4. Why is the surface of my candle imperfect?
You may notice when burning your soy wax candles that the top of the wax is not perfectly smooth, this is caused by reactions between the fragrance oils and the wax. It is completely normal and will not affect the burn of your candle or the quality of the scent. All our candles are hand-poured in small batches to ensure the highest quality possible.
5. How often should I trim the wick on my candle?
To ensure a clean, even burn we suggest you trim the wick before each new burn and every 4 hours after. Please ensure the candle has cooled and set fully before trimming the wick. Tim wick to ¼ inch. You can use a scissors or wick trimmers to do so. By following simple steps, you can ensure that your candle has the perfect glow. It will burn more evenly, and your wick will maintain its original shape.
5. Can I reuse my candle jar once my candle has finished?
Absolutely, there are so many ways of reusing your empty candle vessel. Simple rinse in warm, soapy water to remove any wax residue. Once cleaned the options are endless, you can use our glass vessels as a drinking glass (providing there are not cracks or chips in the glass), as a brush holder for your makeup brushes, a holder for makeup pads/cotton buds or as tealight holder.
5. How long will my order take to be dispatched?
Once we receive your order, we will get working on it straight away and have is dispatched within 1-2 days. We us An Post as our courier service. Once your order has been dispatched, we will notify you by email and give you a tracking number for your order. Please allow 5 working days from date of dispatch for delivery.
5. Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, we pride ourselves on only using recyclable packing materials. From our packing boxes are FSC Certified to our paper tape we try or best to be as sustainable as possible. We use shredded craft paper as a void fill along with biodegradable packing peanuts and where possible we always reuse packaging materials from our supplier deliveries. Our candle vessels and reed diffuser vessels are glass which makes them infinitely recyclable, reusable and refillable. Reducing waste and environmentally friendly. Our Hand soap and Body Lotion bottles are made from PET Plastic which is strong, lightweight and 100% recyclable. It is a highly sustainable packaging solution with a lower carbon footprint than other plastics and can be recovered and recycled into new products again and again, reducing the number of resources wasted. Our gift bags are fully biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. The handles are also 100% recyclable.
